Badal is a young boy who lives happily with his mother in a village. One cold evening, while returning home from school, he finds a small puppy shivering in the cold by the road. Badal brings the puppy home and asks his mother if the puppy can stay with them. His mother agrees with a smile on the condition that Badal must promise to take care of him. Badal and his mother name the puppy Moti.
As time goes by, Moti grows up and becomes Badal's best friend. The two of them do everything together, including eating meals and playing their favourite games. Moti loves Badal deeply and faithfully follows him wherever he goes.
One rainy day, while returning home from school, Badal slips on the muddy lane and falls into a deep pit. He tries hard, but he cannot climb out. When Badal does not return home on time, his mother becomes worried. Moti waits at the gate and accompanies Badal's mother and the neighbours to search for him. Moti catches Badal's scent and follows the trail directly to the pit. He barks loudly to alert the searchers. The neighbours use a rope to pull Badal out of the pit safely. Everyone is relieved, and Badal hugs and thanks Moti warmly.
The lesson shows that pet animals are faithful and true friends. When we care for animals and treat them with love, they love us back and protect us in times of danger.
