Privacy Policy

Information you give us

• Account details: your name and email address. If you register with a password, we store only a secure hash of it.
• Google sign-in:if you choose "Sign in with Google", we receive your Google account ID, name and email from Google. We do not receive your Google password.
• Support messages: anything you send us through the contact form, email or WhatsApp.

Information collected automatically by the app

• Push-notification identifiers: if you allow notifications, the app registers a Firebase Cloud Messaging token and a random installation ID so we can send you teaching updates. Firebase also creates a Firebase Installation ID on the device.
• App activity: each time the app opens (at most once a minute) it records the date and time, app version and platform (Android) against your account.
• Session details:when you sign in we store a session record that includes your device's user-agent string, so you stay signed in.
• Request headers: every request to our servers carries the app version and platform, used for compatibility and troubleshooting.

Stored only on your phone

• Your language and text-size preferences, cached lessons for offline reading, and review-prompt counters. These never leave your device.

What we do not collect: location, contacts, photos, files, SMS, call logs, camera or microphone data, or advertising IDs. The app shows no ads.

• To create your account, sign you in and keep you signed in.
• To show you lesson plans and chapter content.
• To send notifications you have allowed (you can turn them off in Settings).
• To understand how many teachers use the app and which app versions are active.
• To answer your support requests.

We never sell, rent or trade your personal data, and we do not use it for advertising.

We share data only with providers needed to run the service:

• Google Firebase (Cloud Messaging, Remote Config, Installations) — delivers notifications and app configuration.
• Google Sign-In — only if you choose to sign in with Google.
• Google Play — in-app updates and in-app ratings.
• Google Analytics — usage statistics on the website only (not in the app).
• Cloudflare R2 — stores images we publish and source files our team uses to prepare content.
• Razorpay — processes payments made on the website, if any. We never see or store card numbers, UPI PINs or bank passwords.

We may also disclose information if required by law.

All data travels over encrypted HTTPS connections. On your phone, the sign-in session is kept in encrypted storage. Push-notification tokens are stored encrypted on our servers.

• Account details: until you delete your account.
• Sign-in sessions: up to 30 days after your last use.
• App activity records: 180 days.
• Notification tokens: removed when you sign out or turn off notifications; the device record is deleted with your account.
• Payment records (website purchases only): as long as Indian tax law requires.

You can change your name in the app (Settings) or on your Account page, and turn notifications on or off at any time.

Delete your account: in the app, open Settings → Delete account. On the web, visit www.panchapadi.in/account/delete. Deletion in the app or while signed in on the website is immediate. Requests sent by form or email are completed within 30 days. Deleting removes your name, email, sign-in details, notification tokens and app activity; payment records are kept only as described above, without your name or email.

Panchapadi is designed for teachers and is not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.
