Gopi was reading a book in his veranda on a hot summer afternoon.
Gopi heard a rustling sound and a thud in the garden and thought a mango fell.
Gopi searched through the grass and bushes before finding a white hockey ball on dry leaves.
Gopi decided to return the lost hockey ball to its rightful owner instead of keeping it.
Gopi went to the playground in the evening where friends gathered daily to play hockey.
Manoj could not claim the ball because he had lost his ball four months earlier.
Deepak told his friends that his father had bought him a brand-new football the day before.
Gopi stopped the discussion and asked everyone to start playing hockey before it became dark.
Manoj went to the goalpost to play as a goalkeeper during the hockey match.
Gopi stood at the centre of the field and passed the ball to Deepak.
Ramani hit the hockey ball with his stick and passed it forward to Jay.
Jay hit the ball very hard with the flat side of his hockey stick.
The ball flew past the playground gate and landed inside the basket of a passing scooter.
The scooterist drove away completely unaware that the hockey ball had fallen into the basket.
All the children burst into laughter after seeing the ball get carried away by the scooter.
