Four young men named Ram Datt, Shiv Datt, Har Datt, and Dev Datt traveled to Ujjain seeking suitable employment.
The four companions had been journeying for ten days with the hope of presenting their talents to the King.
While walking along the dusty road, the young men carefully examined fresh tracks left behind by a camel.
A distressed merchant approached the four travellers and anxiously asked if they had seen his lost camel.
The four young men accurately described the physical condition of the camel without having seen the animal.
The merchant angrily accused the four travellers of stealing his camel when they admitted they did not have it.
The suspicious merchant dragged the four young men to the palace to face judgment before the King of Ujjain.
The King commanded the four accused travellers to clearly explain how they knew so much about the missing camel.
Ram Datt noticed only three clear footprints on the road, which proved that the camel was lame in one leg.
Shiv Datt deduced the camel was blind in its right eye because only the left foliage had been eaten.
Har Datt found mosquito blood spots, which indicated that the camel lacked a long tail to defend itself.
Dev Datt reasoned that faint sound hind prints and deep forefoot impressions indicated the camel had severe stomach pain.
The four young men arrived at their conclusions entirely through keen observation and sound logical deduction.
The King recognized that the travellers were men of extraordinary wisdom rather than common thieves.
The King dismissed the merchant's baseless accusations and sent him away feeling thoroughly ashamed and embarrassed.
The King praised the young men for their rare ability to see and understand beyond the obvious.
The King of Ujjain offered all four wise young men the prestigious honour of becoming his royal advisers.
Ram Datt and his companions accepted the King's royal offer with deep humility, respect, and gratitude.
The entire royal court erupted in applause as the four men were officially appointed as royal advisers.
The play demonstrates that sharp observation, reasoning skills, and true wisdom pave the path to ultimate success.
